HAMILTON - New Northwest Alabama Economic Development Alliance (Northwest Alabama EDA) Chief Executive Officer Tom Wisemiller addressed the Marion County Commission on Monday, July 19, at the commission office in Hamilton.
Wisemiller offered a brief update on his work as CEO at Northwest Alabama EDA and answered any questions from the commissioners during the meeting.
Wisemiller stated that he has been in contact with several of the municipal officials such as mayor Perry Franks of Brilliant to listen to the needs and the desires of the county for the future.
Wisemiller stated that he has also traveled across the county to assess various buildings and sites that may be viable for manufacturers to use in the future.
“There’s an industrial park off I-22 near Exit 14 where Tombigbee (Electric Cooperative) is located. There’s some opportunities there to make some investments,” said Wisemiller.
