Johnie Lou Bozeman, 76, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Sunset Manor in Guin.  
She was born on Aug. 24, 1944, in Marion County to the late John D. and Euna Alvis Burrow. She was retired from 3M.
She was survived by her brother - Jackie (Susan) Burrow; sister - Helen McCarley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held on Monday May 17, 2021, at the Barnesville Freewill Baptist Church with burial following in the adjoining cemetery. Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.

Deborah Duke, 59, Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2021, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1918, in Marion County to the late Von and Callie Holley Shotts. She lived on a farm around the Shottsville community until she was 22 years old. She went to Detroit, Mich., where she worked in different factories. She worked at Chrysler Motors until she and her husband retired. He was retired from the US Government. He was from Minnesota. They adopted two sons Jim and John when they were six and seven years old they are now deceased.
Ruben passed away in 1982. She has lived alone and was very independent. In her late 90's she was still driving a car and attended Bethleham Church as long as she was able to drive.
She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters - Paul, Sam, Fray and Lee Vaughn Shotts, Lillie Ham, Eula Cole, Ola Hughes, Carrie Shotts, Maudie Raye and Rhea Childers.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Shottsville Cemetery.
Bro. Marshall Emerson was the officiating minister.

Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Ann Niday, 79, Guin, went home to our Lord and Savior after passing away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Kelly (Jerry) Mills, Southside, on May 14, 2021.

Mrs. Niday moved from Dubuque, Iowa to Winfield in 1978. She was an avid seamstress, artist, baker and enjoyed her front porch flowers. She found great joy in her great grandchildren, Jackson and Parker Brown and Charlee Mills Ellis. Over the past few months, Mrs. Niday has battled Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and Lewy Body Dementia with great bravery and the utmost grace.
Mrs. Niday is survived by her devoted caregivers - Kelly and Jerry Mills; special granddaughters - Bailee (Gavin) Mills-Ellis and Christy (Joe) Niday-Brown; son - Mark (Debbie) Niday; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of special cousins; and special friend - Alice Hoth.
Mrs. Niday was preceded in death by her parents - Melvin and Helen Zuber, Dubuque, Iowa; her husband - Lawrence “Larry” Niday; and her daughter - Shannon Michelle Niday.
The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and a special thank you for the many prayers, cards, and phone calls from family and friends.
A private graveside service was held on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Winfield City Cemetery.
“It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.”

Mr. Larry Thomas “Smoothie” Norris, 77, Winfield, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

Mr. Norris was born in Bazemore on March 15, 1944, to Raymond and Helen Norris. He was a 1962 graduate of Winfield City High School and a member of the White Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Norris spent his life working as an iron worker and welder.
He is survived by his wife - Cynthia Wright Norris; two sons - Tommy (Sarah) Norris, Winfield, and Ted (Chandra) Norris, Winfield; a daughter - Terri (Mickey) Bozeman, Winfield; grandchildren - Emily Williams, Isaac Norris, Alley O’Mary, Haley Norris, Hayden Norris, Wally Evans and Tony Evans; three sisters - Sharon (Tim) Morgan, Teresa Stanford and Tammy (Rob) Bolton; one brother - Ronnie (Lisa) Estes; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents - Raymond Norris and Helen Harris Norris Estes; his stepfather - Reau Estes; and his brother - Phillip Norris.
The funeral service for Mr. Norris was held at Bowen Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday May 16, 2021 with burial following in the Norris family plot near their home.

Bobbie Reid, 93, Hamilton, passed away on Friday, May 7,  2021, at Marion Regional Nursing Home. She was born in Alabama on Sunday, Dec. 26, 1927, to James Alexander Nichols and Lucy Nichols.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters - Patsy Hajduk and Paula Wynn (David) Mitchell; granddaughter - Elizabeth (Jeremy) Ann Crow; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband - Clifton Reid; parents - James and Lucy Nichols; and siblings - Ora Gary, Dovie Ann Nichols, Eva Emerson, Ludie Humphries, Jessica Elberta Emerson, James Marvin Nichols and Jackie Nichols.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the New MT Carmel Church with burial following at Old MT Carmel cemetery.
