Alabama Powers donates to Feed My Sheep

Alabama Power Service Organization Coordinator Tracey Carter (center) is shown presenting a $750 check to Jayda Stinnett, one of the three Marion County High School seniors who helped found the non-profit Feed My Sheep food pantry in Guin. The pantry is located in the Earnest Courts Community Center and distributes food once a month to needy families who qualify for the service. Carter said she heard of the newly-created non-profit from District 17 Rep. Tracy Estes. “I attended a Feed My Sheep organization meeting and decided it was a great project and that we could partner with them and donate to them,” Carter said. Feed My Sheep President Laurie Adkins (right) said the money will be used for the non-profit’s startup costs and food delivery costs. “It’s a wonderful blessing,” Adkins said.
