Christian “Chris” Bloch

Mr. Christian Bloch, better known as Chris, 54, Winfield, formerly of Waycross, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.
Mr. Bloch was materials manager for Clayton Homes for over 18 years. He served in the United States Army from 1986 - 1991. Between 1990 and 1991, he served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
Mr. Bloch loved to play golf and watch the Tennessee Volunteers and the Denver Broncos.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gwendolyn Bloch, Winfield; three daughters - Katelyn Bloch and fiancé Jacob Gibson, Waycross, Ga., Makenzie Bloch, Waycross, Ga., and Emma Bloch, Winfield; an uncle - Soren Bloch, Saint Helena, Calif.; his mother and father-in-law - Phillis and Ray Carney, Clarksville, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Bloch was preceded in death by his parents - Ole and Anneliese Mueller Bloch.
The family received friends on Wednesday evening, Jan. 30, 2019, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield, with further arrangements made later in Waycross, Ga.

Howard “Junior” Dickinson, Jr.

Mr. Howard Dickinson, Jr.. better known as Junior, 78, Winfield, passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Dickinson was employed by Continental Conveyor Company in Winfield for 45 years.
Mr. Dickinson loved his wife and cared for her over the years and loved everyone. He was always willing to do anything to help anybody he could, but he especially loved his children, grandchildren, and his “fur babies.”
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Mildred Dickinson; daughter - Deborah Oelberg; son - Howard “Roy” Leroy Dickinson, III; grandchildren - Summer Noelle Dickinson Tucker (Jeffery Reed), Cody Charles Oelberg (Kayme), Elizabeth Brooke Edgil and Katie Corella Cook; great-grandchildren - Madison, Taylor, Ashlyn, Addison, Dalton, Belle, Bailey, McKenzie and Drew; daughter-in-law - Libby Edgil; and his beloved pets - Christmas, Demi and Anna.
He was preceded in death by his parents - Howard Dickinson, Sr. and Geneva R. Snipes Dickinson; a grandson - Billy Dickinson; brother - Louis Dickinson; and two sisters - Eunice Dickinson Webster and Daisy Marie Dickinson Prescott.
Funeral services for Mr. Dickinson were held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at 7 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in the New Liberty Cemetery near Fowlers Crossroads.

Mary Ann McGowan Hendrickson

Mrs. Mary Ann McGowan Hendrickson, 69, Winfield, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at her residence.
Mrs. Hendrickson was preceded in death by her husband - Danial “Danny” McGowan; her parents - Ernest Dayton Hendrickson II and Elnor Ruth Smith Hendrickson; and two brothers - Ernest Nathan Hendrickson III and Donald Hendrickson.
Mrs. Hendrickson is survived by her brother - John “Terry” Terrell Hendrickson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hendrickson were held on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, from 10 a.m. until noon from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Walker Chapel Cemetery in Fultondale.

Mary Fleeta Burleson McCreless

Mary Fleeta Burleson McCreless

Mary Fleeta Burleson McCreless passed peacefully from this life at the age of 95 on Jan. 22, 2019.
She was born as the middle child of nine to Veto C and Belle Frederick Burleson on July 16, 1923. She worked on the family farm, attended Buttahatchee School, graduated at Hackleburg High School and then graduated Nashville Business College.
She worked in Nashville at an Aircraft manufacturer until she met a soldier on the bus going home. He was stationed in Smyrna and was from Haleyville, she married that soldier, Edgar L McCreless on March 2, 1946. They moved to Birmingham where their first son Nickey was born. They moved back to Marion County to farm. Danny and Sandra were born in Haleyville.
Fleeta was content to be a farmer’s wife and mother. When her kids were older she then began another career at Lou-Raye’s where she retired 1985.
She was a faithful member of Barn Creek Church of Christ all of her life and always lived a Christian example.
She is survived by her children: Nickey (Linda) McCreless, Danny McCreless and Sandra (Wade) Loden. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren:

Greg (Shonika) McCreless and their children Isaiah, Greg and Gracelyn,
Candi (Jason) Moon and their children Nic and Lindlee,
Amy (James) Senn and their children Tyler and Hannah,

Leisha (Travis) Johnson and their children Lauren and Will,
Ginger (Andrew) Sweeney and their children Eva Brooke, Loden and Malone,
Beth Loden
Sister: Bobbie West and brother: Buster Burleson
And a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Veto & Belle Burleson, husband: Edgar L McCreless, brothers: Leburn, Cecil and Coy Burleson, sisters: Floy Mann, Drexel Pickard and Artevee Burleson.
Funeral services for Mrs. McCreless were held Jan. 26, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from Pinkard Funeral Home with burial in the Winston Memorial Cemetery. James Senn and Kerry Richardson officiated the services. Pall bearers were Frank McCreless, Greg McCreless, Nic Moon, Tyler Senn, Sawyer Richardson, Travis Johnson, Andrew Sweeney, Dwight Wooldridge and Isaiah McCreless.
The family would like to thank Russellville Health Care for the wonderful care given to their Mother and also the McCreless family for their care and concern.
