Robbie Bozeman Webb Carr

Robbie Bozeman Webb Carr, 88, Guin, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin.
Mrs. Carr was born on Nov. 20, 1930, in Lamar County. She was the daughter of the late Dallas and Bonnie Lorean Lacy Bozeman. Mrs. Carr had lived in Guin most of her life, had worked at Health Tex and was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church.
She is survived by five daughters - Janis (Gary) Randolph and Gwyneth (Don) Jones, all of Guin, Sarah Webb, Jasper, June (Rex) Whatley, Opelika, and Betty Joan Webb, Jasper; a son - Dallas Larry Webb, Guin; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers - Loyd (Ruth) Bozeman, New Boston, Ill., Jim (Nelda) Bozeman, Sulligent, and Furmon Bozeman, Columbus, Miss.
Mrs. Carr was also preceded in death by a grandson, David Childers.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Van Douglas Roberts

Van Douglas Roberts, 72, Brilliant, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Marion Regional Nursing Home in Hamilton.
Mr. Roberts was born on Monday, Nov. 25, 1946, the eldest of five children to Frank and Odean Roberts.
Mr. Roberts graduated from Brilliant High School in 1965 and was class valedictorian. He attended college at Alabama Christian College in Montgomery and Northwest Junior College in Phil Campbell.
He was married to Judy (Harbin) Roberts for 53 years and they had four children: Lori (Dewayne) Hellums, Cammi (Wade) Webb, Kristi (Jeff) White and Van (Darrah) Roberts.
Mr. Roberts had nine grandchildren - Lindsey (Brian) Jackson, Blake White, Cari (Dusty) Stough, Austin Webb, the late Dallas Webb, Jackson Hellums, Katherine Roberts, Annslee Hellums and Rebecca White; and five great-grandchildren - Kane Rushing, Ella Jace Jackson, Kennedy Stough, Kye Jackson and Sawyer Stough.
His siblings include Fran West, Ronnie (Gail) Roberts, Bonnie Raddin and Eddy (Nancy) Roberts.
He also had many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to being a loving husband and father, Mr. Roberts  worked in the manufactured housing industry all his life. He also enjoyed cutting firewood.
Mr. Roberts loved the Lord and prepared all his life to go to his eternal home. He was a faithful member and elder of the Piney Grove Church of Christ. He rarely missed attending church until his health prevented him from doing so.
His hobbies included spending time with family and friends, gardening, his dogs and watching the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Funeral services for Mr. Roberts were held on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at the Marion County Funeral Home with burial in the Gold Mine Cemetery. Bro. Vance Hutton was the officiating minister.
He was preceded in death by his parents - Frank and Odean Roberts; grandson - Dallas Webb; and brother-in-law - Jim West.

Rosa Lee Williams

Rosa Lee Williams, 85, Guin, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 ,in the Generations of Vernon, Alabama.
Born on Aug. 30, 1933, in Marion County, Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Lee Olen and Rose Ella Berryhill Markham and the wife of the late Gary Jack Williams.
After retiring in 1975, Mrs. Williams moved from Metairie, La., to Guin.
Mrs. Williams is survived by three sons - Michael Williams, Navarre, Fla., Billy Williams, New Orleans, La., and Bobby Williams, Clermont, Fla.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters - Janie Sue (Keith) Gann, Chipley, Fla., and Lois Jones, Guin.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
