Hamilton Police Department

HAMILTON - The following arrests and activities were reported by the Hamilton Police Department for the period of Dec 4-10:
Incident, offense cases
Three each for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; and one each for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI), theft of property, open container violation, documentation of child custody dispute and documentation of a deer striking a vehicle.
Citations, Arrests
Five for speeding; four for no insurance; three for improper equipment; two each for DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked license, no seatbelt, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a drug paraphernalia and minor consuming alcohol; and one each for no drivers license, improper tag, first-degree possession of marijuana, second-degree promoting prison contraband, third-degree criminal mischief and running a stop sign.
Wrecks
Three wrecks were reported for the week.
Felony arrests
The following felony arrests were released:
• Michael Shane Roby, 47, Detroit, was arrested on Dec. 4 for DUI and possession of a controlled substance and was released from the Marion County Jail in Hamilton on a $3,500 bond.
• Andrea Stacy Robertson Hulsey, 29, Hamilton, was arrested on Dec. 5 for possession of a controlled substance and was released from the county jail on a $2,500 bond.
(When a defendant is charged with a crime, the charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.)

Marion County Sheriff’s Dept.

HAMILTON - The following arrests and activities were reported for the period ending Dec. 10:
Offense reports
Three each for circuit court alias, public intoxication, probation violation and issuing a worthless check; two for fourth-degree theft of property; and one each for district court alias, DUI, non-support, third-degree domestic violence-assault, disorderly conduct and bench warrant.
Felony arrests
The following felony arrests were released:
• Brett Smith, 50, Haleyville, was arrested on Dec. 4 following an indictment by the Marion County Grand Jury  for drug trafficing, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia and remains in the county jail on a $750,000 bond.
• Brian Smith, 50, Haleyville, was arrested on Dec. 4 for giving false identificationto obstruct justice and was was released from the county jail on Dec 5. on a $2,500 bond.
•Kerry Belk, 57, Guin, was arrested on Dec. 4 for second-degree assault and was released from the county jail on Dec. 6 on a $5,000 bond.
• Cedric Cribbs, 37, Guin, was arrested on Dec. 5 for atempting to elude arrest, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and DUI and remains in the county jail on a $9,000 bond.
• Beverly Rush, 55, Hamilton, was arrested on Dec. 5 following an indictment by the Grand Jury for driving with a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree assault and was released from the county jail on the same day on a $25,000 bond.
• Bradley Martin, 33, Haleyville, was arrested on Dec. 6 for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and firearm in possesion of a forbidden person and was released from the county jail on Dec. 7 on a $5,500 bond.
• Roger Byrd, 57 Hamilton, was arrested on Dec. 8 for promotion of prison contraband and was released form the county jail on Dec. 10 on a $3,500 bond.
• DaShawn Coleman, 22, Hamilton, was arrested on Dec. 9 for third-degree burglary, second-degree theft of property, and violation of a probation order and was released from the county jail on Dec. 10 on a $3,500 bond.
• Jason Allred, 28, Fayette, was arrested on Dec. 10 for three counts of third-degree possesion of a forged instrument and remains in the county jail with no bond set.
• Chelsi Lawler, 26, Bear Creek, was arrested on Dec. 10 for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, third-degree theft of property and breaking and entering of a vehicle and remains in the county jail with no bond set.
• Thomas Duncan, 49, Russellville, was arrested on Dec. 10 for third-degree escape and remains in the county jail with no bond set.

Winfield Police Department

WINFIELD - The following arrests and activities were reported by the Winfield Police Department for the period of Dec. 5-11:
Incident,offense cases
Two each for possession of a controlled substance, alias warrant and minor in possession of alcohol; and one each for first-degree theft of property, second-degree theft of property, third-degree criminal mischief, unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, DUI-controlled substance, bench warrant, illegal possession of prescription drugs, first-degree possession of marijuana, change bills-circulating, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to register as a sex offender, fourth-degree theft of property, third-degree domestic violence, neglect or abuse of an aged or disabled adult and first-degree sodomy.
Citations
Two for expired tag; and one each for failure to display insurance, DUI-controlled substance, driving with a revoked license, failure to stop at a stop sign, running a red light and speeding.
Arrests
Two each for possession of a controlled substance, alias warrant and minor in possession of alcohol; and one each for DUI-controlled substance, bench warrant, illegal possession of prescription drugs, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to register as a sex offender.
