Bevill State Community College-Hamilton and the Hamilton Pro Arts Coalition will present the Second Annual Celebration of Christmas, featuring the talents of Hamilton Elementary School's students in kindergarten-fourth grade. Christmas music will be presented by all grades, and fourth-grade students will perform the play, all under the direction of HES music teacher Jennifer Zetrouer. The music program is made possible by an Alabama Arts Education Initiative grant. Special guest performers will be the choir from the Hamilton Middle School, under the direction of Rhonda Vogt. Dec. 13 and 14 performances begin at 6:30 p.m. while the Sunday matinee starts at 2:30, all in the Bevill Business and Conference Center on the BSCC-Hamilton Campus. Tickets are available at Hamilton Elementary School.
Saturday, Dec. 15
The American Legion Sonny James Post/Unit 165 will host its inaugural Wreaths Across America Ceremony and wreath laying at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg. The Birmingham Bag Pipers will be performing. The public is cordially invited to attend. Wreath sales are available until Dec. 3 at wreathsacrossamerica.org; select cemetery use code ALCTCH Hackleburg.
