Low-income energy assistance sign-up dates announced

HAMILTON - Marion-Winston Community Action Agency Executive Director Jeff Fleming said his Agency will soon begin making appointments for financial assistance with utility bills for qualified residents.
The assistance will be provided through LIHEAP, which is the federally funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

For the Hamilton and Haleyville offices, the Marion-Winston Community Action Agency will start taking calls on Monday, Dec. 17, for residents 60 and older. The Hamilton office can be reached at 921-4224 Monday through Friday. The Haleyville office can be reached at (205) 486-7239 on Monday and Tuesday.

For the Double Springs office, the agency will start taking calls on Tuesday, Dec. 18, for residents 60 and older. The Double Springs office can be reached at (205) 489-5448 Tuesday through Thursday.
For all other residents, the Marion-Winston Community Action Agency will begin taking calls on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, for the Hamilton and Haleyville offices and Tuesday, Jan. 22, for Double Springs.
