The Hamilton Career Center, located at 1481 Military St. South on the Hamilton Campus of Bevill State Community College, will host a Job Fair for Wise Staffing from 1 - 4 p.m. Wise Staffing is hiring for mig welders and production assemblers in Winfield. American Legion Sonny James Post 165 invites everyone to join them from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Hamilton Walmart Supercenter parking lot for a Community Day. Information will be available about the American Legion and will be able to sign up eligible veterans for post membership. The next quarterly meeting of the 877th Engineer Battalion Retired Employees will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Cedar Landing Restaurant, Highway 129 in Winfield. This will be the group’s annual Christmas dinner meeting. All former full-time unit support employees (Unit, OMS, R&R, etc.) are cordially invited to attend.

The American Legion Sonny James Post/Unit 165 will host its inagural Wreaths Across America Ceremony and wreath laying at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg. The Birmingham Bag Pipers will be performing. The public is cordially invited to attend. Wreath sales are available until Dec. 3 at wreathsacrossamerica.org; select cemetery use code ALCTCH Hackleburg. The Winfield Park and Recreation Department is now accepting basketball registration for ages 4 by Sept. 1, 2018, and not yet 13 by Sept. 1, 2018. The registration fee is $65 for the first child and $55 for each additional sibling. All players must provide a copy of birth certificate at the time of registration. Information: 487-6710.

The Hamilton First Baptist Church’s King’s Closet is a student clothing ministry that will be open from 10 a.m - 2 p.m. This ministry provides free new and gently-worn clothing for students K - 12th grade.
The Community Soup Kitchen at the Guin United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall will be open from 4 - 6 p.m. This is a gathering for anyone in the community that is interested in free food, fun and fellowship. You can also register there for door prizes to be given away.
