Hamilton Police Department

HAMILTON - The following arrests and activities were reported by the Hamilton Police Department for the period of Sept. 11-17:
Incident, offense cases
Four for fourth-degree theft of property; three for third-degree domestic violence; two for third-degree assault; and one each for possession of brass knuckles, third-degree theft of property, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle, illegal possession of a prescription drug, failure to pay for gas, duty to give/render aid, minor consuming alcohol and resisting arrest.
Citations, Arrests
Nine for speeding; eight for no insurance; seven for improper tag; six for driving with a suspended/revoked license; three each for third-degree domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia; and one each for driving under the influence, no seatbelt, driving without a license, improper equipment, possession of a controlled substance, failure to register a vehicle, running a red light, illegal possession of a prescription drug, minor consuming alcohol, resisting arrest, third-degree assault and possession of brass knuckles.
Wreck
One wreck was reported for the week.
Felony arrest
The following felony arrest was released:
• Rachel Michelle Peters, 37, Hamilton, was arrested on Sept. 12 for possession of a controlled substance possession of drug paraphernalia and was released from the Marion County Jail in Hamilton the next day, Sept. 13, on a bond of $3,000.
(When a defendant is charged with a crime, the charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.)

Marion Co. Sheriff’s Department

HAMILTON - The following arrests and activities were reported for the two-week period ending Sept. 19:
Offense reports
Three each for circuit court alias and bench warrant; two each for probation violation and third-degree domestic violence harassment; and one each for public intoxication, violation of a release order, issuing a worthless check and fugitive from justice.
Felony arrests
The following felony arrests were released:
• Andrew McCarley, 20, Hamilton, was arrested on Sept. 13 for six counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of felony possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of marijuana and two counts of attempting to commit a controlled substance crime and was released from the county jail the next day, Sept. 14, on a bond of $55,000.
• Ricky Massey, 51, Houston, Ala., was arrested on Sept 16 for interfering with a custody order and was released the next day, Sept. 17, on a bond of $5,000.
• April Bowling, 34, Hamilton, was arrested on Sept. 17 for third-degree escape from a community correctional facility and remains in the county jail on a bond of $2,500.
• Taylor Bloodgood, 25, Winfield, was arrested on Sept. 18 for sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12, enticing a child and five counts of possession of child pornography and remains in the county jail on a bond of $250,000.
• Whitney Harris, 30, Gordo, was arrested on Sept. 18 for unlawful distribution and remains in the county jail on a bond of $5,000.
• Brittany Hulsey, 25, Bear Creek, was arrested on Sept. 18 for possession of a controlled substance and remains in the county jail on a bond of $2,500.
• Kristy Otts, 34, Winfield, was arrested on Sept. 19 for breaking and entering a vehicle and third-degree theft of property and remains in the county jail on a bond of $30,000.

Winfield Police Department

WINFIELD - The following arrests and activities were reported by the Winfield Police Department for the period of Sept. 12-18:

Incident,offense cases
Two each for officers report and fourth-degree theft of property; and one each for possession of a controlled substance, third-degree theft of property, third-degree criminal mischief, documentation of a death, second-degree theft of property, unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle, failure to pay for gas, report of a fall, leaving the scene of an accident and distribution of a controlled substance.
Arrests
Nine for alias warrant; five for possession of child pornography; and one each for enticing a child, sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years of age, bench warrant, distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Wrecks, calls
Five wrecks and 72 calls were reported for the week.
