WINFIELD - In recognition of his decades of service to his community, Olan Cunningham will be honored by friends and community leaders in Winfield.
The retired State Farm insurance agent will be toasted at a public event scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 30, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Winfield Community Center. The recognition is open to the public with no admission charge.
The special event has been in the planning stages for the last two months by community leaders who wish to pay tribute to the public servant who spent 17 years on the Winfield Board of Education and served his adopted hometown in a number of ways since moving to Marion County as a youngster in 1948.
