HAMILTON - The following arrests and activities were reported by the Hamilton Police Department for the period of  July 31-Aug. 6:
Incident and offense cases
Seven for fourth-degree theft of property; three for possession of drug paraphernalia; two each for third-degree domestic violence, third-degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle; and one each for harassment, third-degree theft of property, second-degree possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a forged instrument, documentation of reckless vehicle operation, second-degree receiving stolen property, altering a firearm’s identification, second-degree burglary, first-degree theft of property, second-degree criminal mischief, violation of a protection order, first-degree criminal trespassing, first-degree forgery, attempting to elude arrest and documentation of counterfeit money.
Arrests or citations
Nine for no insurance; seven for failure to register a vehicle; five for driving with a suspended/revoked license; four each for speeding, third-degree domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; three each for driving under the influence and improper tag; two each for open container violation, attempting to elude arrest and first-degree criminal trespassing; and one each for driving without a seatbelt, no tag, driving without a driver’s license, improper equipment, running a stop sign, fourth-degree theft of property, public lewdness, unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, first-degree possession of a forged instrument, second-degree receiving stolen property, third-degree criminal trespassing, criminal littering, harassment, first-degree possession of marijuana, failure to signal, giving false information to a law enforcement office and altering a firearm’s identification.
Wrecks
Three wrecks were reported for the week.
Felony arrests
The following felony arrests were released:
• Melinda Gann Allen, 49, Sulligent, was arrested on July 31 for first-degree possession of a forged instrument and was released from the Marion County Jail in Hamilton on Aug. 1 on a bond of $5,000.
• Randell Craig Meeks, 33, Fayette, was arrested on Aug. 1 for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, first-degree marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia and was released from the county jail on Aug. 4 on a bond of $18,000.
• Tiffany Marie Cochran, 32, Hamilton, was arrested on Aug. 5 for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree criminal trespassing and false information and remains in the county jail on a bond of $13,500.
• Hogan Max Whitfield, 31, Hackleburg, was arrested on Aug. 6 for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of marijuana and driving without a seatbelt and remains in the county jail on a bond of $8,000.
(When a defendant is charged with a crime, the charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.)

Marion Co. Sheriff’s Dept.

HAMILTON - The following arrests and activities were reported for the two-week period ending Aug. 6:
Arrests or citations
Three each for giving false information to a law enforcement officer, issuing a worthless check and possession of drug paraphernalia; two each for bench warrant and violation of a release order; and one each for circuit court alias, driving under the influence, violation of a protection order and re-arrest during a bondsman process.
Felony arrests
The following felony arrests were released:
• Michael Jackson, 55, Hamilton, was arrested on Aug. 1 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and remains in the county jail on a bond of $5,500.
• Joseph Chesser, 51, Bessemer, was arrested on Aug 1. for first- and third-degree theft of property and remains in the county jail on a bond of $17,500.
• Wesley Clayton, 38, Phil Campbell, was arrested on Aug. 3 for breaking and entering a vehicle and fourth-degree theft of property and was released from the county jail on Aug. 6 on a bond of $7,500.
• Lydia Mayfield, 20, Haleyville, was arrested on Aug. 3 for violating the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) and remains in the county jail on a bond of $5,000.
• Dalton Black, 19, Guin, was arrested on Aug. 3 for attempting to possess a controlled substance and was released the same day on a bond of $2,500.
• Victoria Conley, 29, Winfield, was arrested on Aug. 3 for third-degree possession of a forged instrument and remains in the county jail on a bond of $2,500.
• Nancy Busbee, 58, Winfield, was arrested on Aug. 6 for first-degree theft of property and remains in the county jail on a bond of $15,000.
• Thomas Sipes, 46, Winfield, was arrested on Aug. 6 for first-degree theft of property and remains in the county jail on a bond of $15,500.

Winfield Police Dept.

WINFIELD - The following arrests and activities were reported by the Winfield Police Department for the period of Aug. 1-7:
 Incident and offense cases
Four for officer’s report; two each for possession of drug paraphernalia and identity theft; and one each for third-degree possession of a forged instrument, harassing communications, possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree theft of property, driving under the influence, harassment, public intoxication and incident report.

Arrests or citations
Eight for alias warrant; five for capias warrant; two for possession of drug paraphernalia; and one each for public intoxication, driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a forged instrument, speeding, expired tag, driving without a driver’s license and failure to display insurance.
Wrecks
Three wrecks and 95 calls were reported for the week.
