Charlotte Boyett Overton

Charlotte Boyett Overton, 82, of Brilliant, Ala., passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026. Charlotte was born on Oct. 12, 1944, in Augusta, Ga., to Earl and Annie Lue Cliatt Boyett.
She graduated from high school in Augusta before eventually making Alabama her home. Throughout her working years, Charlotte was employed at Health-Tex and Browning Williams before choosing to become a homemaker, devoting her time to caring for her family. Charlotte was a faithful member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Don Overton (Janet), Sharon Evers (John) and Keith Overton; her grandchildren, Shelby Rhudy (Josh), Morgan Dunn (Hayden), Kerington Overton, Elliott Overton and Claire Overton; step grandson, Will Fraser; her great-grandchildren, Adaline and Bennett Rhudy; and her sister, Janice Harden, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Overton; her parents, Earl and Annie Lue Boyett; and her sisters, Barbara Hendrix and Patsy Hendrix.
Funeral services for Mrs. Overton were held on Oct. 18, 2026, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens.
