Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Shrimp Boil set for Thursday, June 11

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce has set the date of Thursday, June 11, for its 22nd annual Shrimp Boil.
A family-friendly, fun and tasty event where the community and chamber businesses gather in a relaxed atmosphere, the Shrimp Boil is a great way to enjoy a summer afternoon with your friends and neighbors.
Held each year at the Hamilton Fire Department, everyone is invited to dine in and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere, but to-go plates are also available.
The time for pre-order pick ups is 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with walk-up plate sales beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event usually concludes at 7 p.m.
Plates cost $15 each for pre-orders through the chamber or First National Bank, First State Bank, PeoplesTrust Bank and Listerhill Credit Union.
All plates sold at the event will be $20 each. Plates include freshly boiled shrimp, corn on the cob, new potatoes, cocktail sauce, an ice cold soft drink, sweet tea or water, plus a cookie dessert.
There are a limited number of festive keepsake T-shirts still available, with this being the last year for T-shirt sales. Medium to XL sizes can be purchased for $15 through the chamber or the banks listed previously.
You may contact the chamber office at chamber@hamiltonchamberofcommerce.org or call/text 205-921-7786 to arrange a time to pick up pre-sale tickets or T-shirts. The office is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
