Wayne Maurice Warner

Wayne Maurice Warner, 80, of Detroit, Ala., died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. He was born June 22, 1945, in Adrian, Mich., to Maurice Alton and Mildred Belle (Reed) Warner.
On Sept. 26, 1964, he married Marilyn Ann Karr in Adrian, Mich., and she survives. Wayne was a faithful member of the Kingsville Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for over twenty-five years. He was a master craftsman, owning and operating Warner Cabinets, where he built and installed custom cabinetry. Through his work, his leadership and his quiet strength, he left a lasting mark on his family, his church and his community.
In addition to his wife Marilyn, he is survived by two sons, Chris Warner and his wife Deana, of Hamilton, and Matthew Warner and his wife, Kathy, of Muscle Shoals; two daughters, Amber Jarrett and her husband, Jason, of Leoma, Tenn., and Erin Evans and her husband, Mark, also of Leoma; 12 grandchildren, Sarah Beth Hester, Anna Kate Johnson, Maddy Carisle, Marianna Davis, Caleb Evans, Tyler Jarrett, Jon Evans, Daniel Jarrett, Wes Warner, Eli Evans, Abi Evans and Gracie Evans; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Hester, Elsie Davis and Ruby Hester; two brothers, Bob Warner and his wife, Carole, of Blissfield, Mich., and Jim Warner and his wife, Janet, of Blissfield; and two sisters, Barb Heineman and her husband, Wayne, of Blissfield, and Christine Hale of Pickerington, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved infant son, Jacob.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family rests in the blessed hope of eternal life and the joy of reunion in heaven. Funeral services were held on Feb. 17, 2026, at Kingsville Church of Christ, 17 Kingsville Drive, Detroit, AL 35552. Burial followed at Carter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Maywood Christian Camp.
