Mrs. Rachel Mae Stocks, 97, of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at Sunset Manor Nursing Facility. She was born on Feb. 16, 1928, in Marion County, Ala., to William Avery Sandlin and Pearlie Frances Spiller Sandlin.
Mrs. Stocks was a member of the Assembly of Yahvah. She spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker, caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and studying her Bible.
Mrs. Stocks is survived by her son-in-law, Roger Dickinson; her grandson, Aaron Dickinson (Lena); her great-grandchildren, Kendall and Ezra Dickinson; her brother, Donald Sandlin (Maedean); and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stocks was preceded in death by her husband, William Stocks; her daughter, Joy Dickinson; her son, Paul Ray Stocks; her siblings, Zettie Jo Sandlin, Odis Sandlin, Johnny Sandlin (Edith), James Sandlin (Clydie), Steven Sandlin (Joann), Roger Sandlin, Christine Bryan (Vick), Frances Lopez (Sal), Mary Cauwels (John), and infant twins, Liddell and Ludell Sandlin.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stocks were held on Jan. 28, 2026, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Pisgah Cemetery.
