Hackleburg Panthers hold Meek Tigers to one touchdown

HACKLEBURG — The Hackleburg Panthers took on the Meek Tigers Friday night, Sept. 6, and came out victors on a 34-8 win, holding Meek to only one touchdown. By the end of the first quarter, Hackleburg had already racked up three touchdowns.
Meek won the coin toss but deferred to the second half. Shortly after beginning, Panther Blaise Vickery threw a 33 yard pass to Jaquan Reeder for the first touchdown. The PAT was good. Forcing a punt, Vickery threw another pass to Reeder, who brought the ball to the 2 yard line. Vickery ran it in for the second touchdown. Another good PAT put the score 14-0, Hackleburg.
Keeping the momentum going, Vickery took a 30 yard run through Meek’s defense for the third touchdown. This time the PAT was no good, with a score of 20-0.
