BRILLIANT — A Brilliant woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday, April 17, on State Highway 233 near the 13 mile marker, about six miles northeast of Brilliant.
According to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 30-year-old Tiffany Matlock was sitting in the roadway when she was fatally struck by a 1996 Chevrolet C1500 truck around 3:45 that morning.
ALEA said she was pronounced deceased on the scene. The statement said no further information is available while ALEA’s investigation into the incident continues.
According to her obituary, her full name was Tiffany Louise Matlock Horne. She was the wife of Cody Horne and the mother of two children.
The obituary also mentioned she was born July 5, 1993. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 20, with burial following in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Bowen Funeral Home assisted the family.
