Mr. Jerry Max Trimm, 83, of Winfield passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023 in the Northwest Medical Center. Mr. Trimm was born in Fayette County, Ala. on Feb. 20, 1940 to William Aaron and Eva Mae Mobley Trimm. Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Winfield City High School. He spent much of his life employed with the Army Corp of Engineers, where he worked for more than 30 years until his retirement. Jerry traveled the world with his work, but never loved any location more than he did his home in Fayette County, where he spent most of his spare time farming and taking care of his land.
Mr. Trimm is survived by his children, Mark Trimm (Catrina), Lynly Sandlin, and Pat Earnest (Billy); grandchildren, April Hart (Ryan), Aaron Trimm, Kinley Sandlin, Gabby Sandlin, Tyler Keene (Mandy), and Anna Earnest; great-grandchildren, Aelish Rose Hart, Tucker Keene, Avery Jane Keene, and Titus Keene; special friend, Nadine Knight; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Trimm was preceded in death by son-in-law, Louie Sandlin, and siblings, Hershel Trimm, Wynelle Atchinson, and James Ray Trimm.
A graveside service for Mr. Trimm was held on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 from the Old Union Cemetery near Wayside. Brother Dwight Geist was the officiating minister.
