Campranella Prowell

Campranella "Camp" Prowell, 57, of Winfield, AL, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023 at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Camp was born on May 20, 1966 in Columbus, Miss. to the late Wright Webber, Sr. and the late Essie Mary Prowell.  He was a 1984 graduate of Lee High School in Columbus and later joined the U.S. Army proudly serving his country. Camp was previously employed at T&M Steel Co. in Columbus and 3M in Guin.  He thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing. He also liked to watch football and cook. Camp attended Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church.  
Mr. Prowell was survived by wife, Sandra Prowell of Winfield; sons, Campranella Prowell, Jr. of Columbus, Miss., Braylon Prowell of Winfield; brothers, Theotis Prowell of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alden Prowell (Laurie), both of Colorado Springs, Michael Prowell of Orlando of Fla., Wright Webber, Jr., Hampton, Ga, Freeman Webber (Jerri) of Bessemer, Ala., Abner Webber, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ervin Webber (Phyllis) of Columbus; sisters, Marie Kennedy of Houston, Tex.,  Dianne Webber, of Columbus, Gwen Manning (Rick) of Houston, Vena Webber of Riverdale, Ga., Gail Brooks of Columbus; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Wright Webber and Essie Mary Prowell; sister, Donna Webber; and brother, Ned Whitfield.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with Graveside Military Honors and burial that followed in the Gilmer addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Rev. Christopher Wriley officiated. Pallbearers were Lawrence Brown, George Prowell, James Cribbs, Freddie McKinney, Richard Thompson, and Lawrence Bonman.
