Deanna Susan McDaniel, 77, of Winfield passed away on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023 in the Northwest Medical Center. Mrs. McDaniel was born in Marion County on March 27, 1946 to Middleton and Ruby Franks Maddox. She was a member of Hines Memorial Baptist Church of Bear Creek, and later Faith Church in Winfield. Deanna was a 1964 graduate of Brilliant High School. She was a member of the Bear Creek Civitan Club, where she worked diligently for many years. Deanna spent many years employed with Health Tex of Guin and later Harden Manufacturing before choosing to become a homemaker. In her spare time, Deanna enjoyed working in her flower garden, traveling, spending time with her family, and going to the Senior Center with her friends.
Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her daughter, Dana Norris (John); grandsons, Tyler and Gavin Norris; stepdaughter, Cindy Holcomb (Ronnie); brother, Roger Maddox; niece, Regina Labor (Kirk); nephew, Steve Maddox (Robin); fur babies, Binx, Diva, Sweet Pea, Peaches, and Traveling Man; and a host of other family members, church family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny Earnest, and Bill McDaniel; grandson, Colin Norris; and nephew, Ricky Maddox.
Funeral services for Mrs. McDaniel were held on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial that followed in the Winfield City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Faith Church building fund, Winfield Senior Center or the Bear Creek Civitian Club.
