Brady Leon Brown

Mr. Brady Leon Brown, 85, of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Brown was born on Aug. 4, 1938 in Selma, Ala., to Andrew and Bertha Moore Brown. He was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church and a 1957 graduate of Maplesville High School. Mr. Brown served his country in the United States Navy and Coast Guard Reserve where he retired after 20 years of service. Brady came to Winfield in 1990 and was employed in maintenance with Winfield Carraway Hospital until 1994. He then opened Brown’s Woodworking and Antiques where he was owner and operator until 2015 when he became disabled.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 30 years, Judy Brown; daughters, Deidre Tutor (Jon) of Memphis and Janet Didone of South Carolina; son, Derek Brown of Memphis; numerous grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marian Trull (Steve); nephews, Michael Pendley (Kori Purcell) and Johnny Downs (Beth); special nieces, Angie Langston and Emily Fondren, who were always by his side with support and loving devotion; and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Downs, and brother, Leo Brown.
Funeral services for Mr. Brown were held on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023 at the Winfield First Baptist Church with burial following in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Bankston.
