Mrs. Betty Jo Tucker, 86, of Winfield, Ala., passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mrs. Tucker was born in Fayette County, Ala. on Aug. 27, 1936 to Grady and Edna Pickens Estes. Betty attended Winfield City High School. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed working in her yard.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by her children, Terry Estes and his wife Brenda, Diane Gilley, and Sandra Davis; her husband, Tom; grandchildren, Jarrod Estes, Zach Gilley (fiancé Randi), and Kyle Davis; great-grandchildren, Madison, Presley, Tucker, Landon, and Brantley Gilley; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Junior Tucker; her parents; a son-in-law, Donnie Gilley; and siblings, Gene Estes, Jack Estes, James Estes, Ruth King, JB Estes, and infant twins, Mary and Martha Estes.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tucker were held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of the Miles Memorial Funeral Home, with burial following in the Liberty Cemetery near Rock City, Ala.
