Barbara Bowen Hodge, 78, of Rainbow City, Ala., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022. Barbara was born on Nov. 13, 1944 to AJ & Mary Lou Bowen.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Hughes, and her husband, Donny, sisters, Beverly Franks (Floyd), Regina Eisner (Larry), and Sheila Harris.
Barbara was a 1962 graduate of Winfield City High School and a member of the Millbrook First United Methodist Church. She worked for and retired from the State of Alabama. Barbara enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, and she was always ready to share her home cooked meals. Barbara was very social, having many lifelong friendships. She treasured her family and friends and was always there with a kind word.
A memorial service for Barbara was held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the Millbrook First United Methodist Church.
She will be greatly missed.
