Dorothy Robbins Reagh

Mrs. Dorothy Robbins Reagh, better known as Dot, traded in her time here for her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023.  
She was born in Winfield to Robert L., Sr.  and Wanda Berryhill Robbins.  
She was a graduate and cheerleader at Winfield City High School. After graduation, she relocated to Birmingham to work for Republic Steele and later the Social Security Administration; she enjoyed her work and was proud to serve her country and our people. From the mid-forties, she was a member of Central Church of Christ and later Riverchase Church of Christ. Mrs. Reagh loved her family and enjoyed antiquing and traveling, especially to the beaches of Alabama and Florida. She was a strong and determined woman, though partially deaf since her twenties, and totally deaf later in life and for many years, she maintained her independence.
She is survived by her nephews - David Wood, Edward “Sandy” Craig, Jim Raines, Russell Robbins, Rick Robbins and Randy Robbins; her nieces - Lynda R. Ott, Wanda Jo Greathouse, Marcia R. Thomas and Kim R. Josephson; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, church family and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - James G. Reagh; sisters - Kathryn Robbins Wood and her husband Leslie, and Melba Robbins Raines and her husband James; brothers - Robert L. Robbins, Jr. and Richard R. Robbins; and a niece - Sandra Raines Earnest and her husband Jim.
A graveside service for Mrs. Reagh was held on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, from the Winfield City Cemetery.
