Mrs. Sharon Paige McDonald Herren, 80 of Richmond, Ky., formerly of the Whites Chapel Community, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Ky.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1942, in Carbon Hill to the late Bernice Jane Baker and Hollie McDonald. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a 1961 graduate of Hubbertville High School. Mrs. Herren was a homemaker who enjoyed golf, quilting and cooking, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years - Gerald Herren; son - Gregory Herren of New Orleans, La.; daughter - Rhonda (John) Mathis of Richmond, Ky.; brother - Danny McDonald; grandchildren - Cara (Bryan) Makinen, Luke (Sarah) Mathis, Emily (Drew) Alexander and Andrew (Keeley) Mathis; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers - Grant McDonald and Rudy McDonald.
The funeral service for Mrs. Herren was held on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Whites Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.
