HAMILTON – There are no plans to cancel this year’s Buttahatchee River Fall Fest.
The Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce held a planning meeting on Thursday, Sept. 9, at Dinelli's Pizza & Pasta to discuss planning developments and scheduling for the annual festival which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30, in the city’s downtown district.
The event was canceled last year due to COVID-19. However, event planners are confident that moving forward with the event is the right thing to do.
“There are no state mandates or orders right now,” said Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce President Dana Scott. “If you are concerned for you or your family’s health, are vulnerable to severe illness or are currently sick, we encourage and ask you to stay home this year. But those who feel comfortable with attending should feel welcome to come.”
