HAMILTON - City officials in Hamilton are talking trash, specifically about the need for a new garbage truck—a move which could require customers to own a wheeled garbage can purchased from the city.
Hamilton Mayor Bob Page notified the Hamilton City Council during a work session on Wednesday, Aug. 28, that Hamilton Street Superintendent Mike Johnson is requesting the council budget for a new truck in the next fiscal year, which begins Oct. 1.
The mayor said he and Johnson have met with a salesperson from Birmingham about what the city’s options are for a new garbage truck.
