Mary Magalene Nix Green, 94, Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at her residence. 
Mrs. Green was born in Marion County on Thursday, Feb. 7, 1924, to John Thomas Nix and Lou Annie Cole Nix. 
Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at the Marion County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Joe Dupree, Bro. Marshall Green and Bro. Nick Ray officiating. 
Burial was at the Nix Chapel Church of God Cemetery. 
Mrs. Green was preceded by her parents - John Thomas and Lou Annie Nix; husband - Henry Orville Lee Green; daughter - Sheila Ann Ray; grandsons - Phillip Dean Cantrell and George Waylon Mayfield; and great-grandson - Phillip Ryan Cantrell. 
 She leaves to cherish her memory: Children - Marshall Lee Green (Collene), Kenneth J. Green (Carolyn), Mary Ellon Green, Pamela Jo Mayfield, Alice Marie Bowen (Timothy) and Jerry Green (Debbie); 10 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family also wishes to thank Aseracare Hospice for their assistance.

Mr. Stephen Athel Guin, better known as Steve, 64, Winfield, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at his residence. 
Mr. Guin was born on Sept. 23, 1954, to Athel and Johnnie McRight Guin. He was a 1972 Winfield City High School graduate and married his high school sweetheart, Pam Stiles, on June 28, 1975. 
Mr. Guin loved his Lord and Savior, his family, church family and friends. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Guin. He was employed at the 3M Company in Guin for 40 years as a master mechanic with perfect attendance for 30-plus years. 
Mr. Guin enjoyed photography, gun collecting and shooting competitions, but most of all, spending time with his family. 
He is survived by his wife of 40 years - Pamela Stiles Guin; daughter - Starla Gama and her fiancé, Tony Holloway, Hamilton, Miss.; son - Slade Guin and his wife, Lynzy, Hamilton, Miss.; his granddaughter - Haley Ann Gama - Hamilton, Miss.; mother - Johnnie Guin, Winfield; three sisters - Patsy Brock (Jim), Fayette; Peggy Trull (David), Fayette; and Myra Reed, Birmingham; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 
Mr. Guin was preceded in death by his father - Athel Guin; and a sister - Judy Morrison. 
Funeral services for Mr. Guin were held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at 2 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Winfield City Cemetery. Bro. Kenny Hatcher and Daniel Pollard officiated over the services. 
Donations in Mr. Guin’s memory may be made to the remodeling fund or the music ministry fund at the First Baptist Church of Guin.

Mr. Donald Fredric Sobrak, 83, Winfield, formerly of Woodburn, Ore., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at his residence. 
Mr. Sobrak was a 1953 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Minnesota, served seven years in the United States Air Force, worked for General Metal Craft and served as union president of the United Steele Workers in Portland, Ore. He enjoyed long road trips with his family up the Oregon coast, hunting, fishing, boating. 
Mr. Sobrak loved playing bingo and bowling. Mr. Sobrak was a very active member and volunteer of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Winfield. 
Mr. Sobrak is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years - Judith Kirkpatrick Sobrak; his children - Thomas Sobrak, Deborah Holum (Mark), Lori Cranford (Aaron), Donna Engelman, Michael Sobrak and Rhonda McKnight; and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his parents - Thomas Sobrak and Clara LeJunesse; grandson - Corey Engelman; sisters - Helen Sobrak DeCoux and Marie Sobrak Trehan; and a brother - Edward Sobrak. 
A memorial mass was held on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at noon at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Winfield. Father Anthony Weiss officiated.

Lewis Edwin "Ed" Trull

Mr. Lewis Edwin “Ed” Trull, 84, Winfield, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019. at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. 
Mr. Trull was born on April 17, 1934, in Fayette County to Joseph Griffin “Griff” Trull and Pearlie Hazel May Trull. He was a 1952 graduate of Winfield City High School, a sergeant in the United States Army and member of the Army National Guard. 
Mr. Trull was a supervisor for many years at 3M Company in Guin and owner and operator of Trull Building Supply in Winfield and BJ’s Trucking Company. 
Mr. Trull was a dedicated member and deacon of the Winfield First Baptist Church and was recently awarded the title Deacon Emeritus.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years - Betty June Earnest Trull; daughter - Brenda Trull Brand (William), Fayette; son - Steve Trull (Marian), Bankston; grandchildren - Ashley Davis Stough (David), Devin Davis, Jacob Trull and Jonah Trull; great-grandchildren - Griff Stough and Ellie June Stough; nieces and nephews - David Trull, Tammy Box, Jeff Trull, Darren Roberts, Joseph Trull, Ross Trull, Jeff Godsey, Robin Shelton, Chris Godsey, Alycia Eady, Lynn Bostick, Ricky Earnest, Kellye Thoney and Jennifer Wooldridge; and a host of special friends and other family members. 
Mr. Trull was preceded in death by his parents - Griff Trull and Pearl May Trull; and a brother - Jimmy “Jim” Trull. 
Funeral services for Mr. Trull were held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at 7 p.m. from the Winfield First Baptist Church. Burial followed on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.
