Mrs. Bernice Baccus Prescott, 88, of Winfield, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at her residence. She was born to Grady and Hattie Lee Beasley Baccus on Sept. 28, 1936.
Bernice devoted her life tirelessly to keeping an immaculate home and managing multiple businesses with her husband. She lovingly raised the joys of her life and spoiled her grandchildren rotten. She accomplished all of this while maintaining a perfect appearance and a fiery spirit.
Mrs. Prescott is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Prescott; her children, Ronnie Prescott (Frank), Terry Prescott (Kim) and Peggy Fulmer (Terry); her “mae mae,” Chassity Odom (Zach); grandchildren, Justin Prescott (Ashley), Brandon Prescott (Rachel), Haley Williams, (Zack), Brittany Brown (Clayton), Bradley Prescott (Keeli), Hannah Prescott (Blake), Holly Prescott (Brian), Hayden Prescott, Shae Holcomb (Anthony) and Cole Fulmer (Dusty); 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Fred Baccus and Elouise Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Prescott was preceded in death by her son, Gary “Duffy” Prescott, and her brothers, Reuben and Jerry Baccus.
Funeral services for Mrs. Prescott were held on May 16, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Griggs Place Cemetery.
