Leroy Blair, 84, of Guin, Ala., passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Born Sept. 11, 1938 in Monroe County, Miss., he is the son of the late William Franklin and Laura Lee Broom Blair, and the husband of Geraldine Pearce Blair. He lived in Guin since 1965 and retired from Arvin Industries in Fayette after working 36 years. He was a Member and Deacon of Mt. Hebron Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine Pearce Blair of Guin, a daughter, Sherry (Cris) Hollingsworth of Madden, Miss.; a son, Casey (Debbie) Blair of Guin, a sister, Nadine Cochran of Steens, Miss.; and two brothers, Joe Stanley Blair of Louisville, Ky. and Loyd Thomas Blair of Powder Springs, Ga.; two grandchildren, Daniel Reed Konya and Amanda Lynn (Zach) Savage; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister and eight brothers.
Private family services were held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Elder Cris Hollingsworth officiated.
