Stacy Bosarge Reese, 74, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in the U.A.B. Medical Center in Birmingham.
He was born in Winfield on Sept. 22, 1947, to David and Edra Benton Reese. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School. In 1970, he met the love of his life, Edith Walker and married a short time later in 1971. He served his country for 38 years in the United States Army and National Guard where he fought in the Vietnam War. He was a member and Deacon at Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ. He spent much of his life working for Auburn University at the Upper Coastal Plains Sub Station. He retired in 2007 after 34 years of service. He was an avid hunter and loved to be outdoors; but his favorite thing on this earth was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Mr. Reese leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years - Edith Reese; son - John (Stephanie) Reese; daughter - Leeann (Karl) Sanford; grandchildren -Jan and Walker Reese; a brother - Andy (Susie) Reese; his aunt - Murel
Webb; a niece he thought of as a daughter - Annette (Denver) Snow, and their children - Eli Snow and Morganne (McCain) Merchant; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his uncle - Buddy Webb; and his mother and father- in-law - John and Ruby Walker.
The funeral service for Mr. Reese was held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from the Miles Memorial Funeral Home with burial following at the Tidwell Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors presented at the graveside.
