Mrs. Lynn Reed Minor, 73, of Pike Road, formerly of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, in the Hillview Terrace Health and Rehab Center in Montgomery.
Mrs. Minor was born on Sept. 30, 1948, to Lee Roy and Ezell Reed. Mrs. Minor was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery and served many years as president of the Steppingstone Sunday school class and director of the MOMS program for 21 years. She was a 1966 graduate of Winfield City High School. She served as president of the Pike Road Civic Club. She worked with the Baptist Foundation of Alabama and Blankenship, Livings, Lamar & Company CPAs.
Mrs. Minor is survived by her husband - Floyd Minor; son - Jason (Lisa) Minor, of Shorter; granddaughters - Elly Rose and Amelia Grace Minor; sister - Rita (Gary) Cox, of Pensacola, Fla.; nephew - Nathan Miller, of Birmingham; sisters-in-law - Kathy (Johnny) Estes, of Winfield, and Lesia Hanks, of Robertsdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Mrs. Minor was preceded in death by her parents - Lee Roy and Ezell Byars Reed; grandparents - Walter and Bessie Reed and Franklin and Pauline Byars; and a brother-in-law - Trent Minor.
The funeral service for Mrs. Minor was held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Winfield City Cemetery.
Bro. Tom Nix and Bro. Gary Cox were the officiating ministers.
