WINFIELD — School administrators, first responders and other officials spoke to parents in the Winfield Elementary School auditorium on Thursday, July 30, during Winfield City School’s Community Safety Night.
Speakers reiterated the school, city and county’s commitment to student safety, as well as offering tips on how to protect children online.
Winfield Superintendent Dr. Adam Andrews spoke first, saying how impressed he was with Winfield City Schools’ efforts to keep students and faculty safe.
“We have an amazing local police and fire department, and an amazing EMA in our county,” he said. “We’re just so blessed to have that.
“Just moving here six weeks ago, I’ve been very impressed with the community support and with these agencies. I’m thankful for what we have here.”
