Mr. Stephen Wayne Pridmore, better known as Steve, 70, of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Pridmore was born in Winfield on Feb. 21, 1953, to L.J. Pridmore and Jo Ann Miller Box. He was a 1970 graduate of Winfield City High School. Steve spent much of his life employed with the United States Postal Service as a mail contractor before his retirement after 30 years of service. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed watching Alabama football, farming, fishing, going to the beach and spending time with his family.
Mr. Pridmore is survived by his children, Stacie Posey (Nick), Bryan Colburn and Stephanie Chandler (Matthew); grandchildren, Asher Posey, Blane Colburn, Scarlett Colburn and Taylor, Dalton and Matt Chandler; great-granddaughter, Remi-Kate Colburn; mother, Jo Ann Miller Box; sister, Stephanie Box; nephew, Justin Lenahan (Susie); nieces, Ashley Seals (Ty), Karrah Harrison (Will) and Lexi Welch; and a host of other family members and friends.
Mr. Pridmore was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Pridmore, and his fathers, L.J. Pridmore and Robert Box.
Funeral services for Mr. Pridmore were held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel.
